Stamps for Holy Bread
For the performance of the Divine Liturgy, the faithful offer to God bread and wine. These simple kinds of our diet, during the Divine Liturgy and in the presence of the grace of the Holy Spirit, are transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ. When we commune we take in Christ Himself. We have a large variety of stamps of offerings, made by the monks of Mount Athos, which vary in designs and sizes. Seals with the Double-Headed Eagle, while others bear perimeter inscriptions, such as "Saint Lord Savava", "The Lord was slaughtered as a Sheep", "Receive and Eat This Is My Body" etc.
